Data protection and IT security
| Privacy Policy Overview | Smart1's cloud solutions take appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk. Confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data are ensured by controlling physical access, access controls, input and transfer controls, and ensuring the availability and separation of data. In addition, procedures for exercising data subject rights, data deletion, and responding to threats are implemented. Data protection is already taken into account in the development and selection of hardware, software, and procedures (privacy by design and privacy by default in accordance with Art. 25 GDPR). The Zendesk CRM system used, which is part of the cloud services, is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, which provides an additional guarantee of compliance with European data protection law. Zendesk uses the data exclusively for the technical processing of inquiries and does not pass it on to third parties. Overall, the security measures are based on the requirements of the GDPR and take into account the state of the art as well as the nature and risk of data processing. |
