The following use case was assumed for the cost estimate:
1 single-party building with the following existing components (excluding commercial use):
- Metering units: 1 electricity meter
- 1 photovoltaic system (with 1 inverter) with battery storage
- 1 heat pump (SG-Ready)
- 1 hot water boiler (relay control)
- 1 fully equipped charging station (AC charging)
These are rough estimates. An offer must be requested for exact cost information.
The following use case was assumed for the cost estimate:
1 multi-unit building with the following existing components (excluding commercial premises):
- Metering units: 20 electricity meters
- 1 photovoltaic system (with 1 inverter) with battery storage
- 1 heat pump (SG-Ready)
- 1 hot water boiler (relay control)
- 20 parking spaces, 5 of which are fully equipped with charging stations (AC charging)

| Comment | The VGT platform does not care how many electricity meters, photovoltaic systems (with 1 inverter), heat pumps (SG-Ready), or hot water boilers are connected to the platform. The platform charges CHF 0.058 per GB of storage in the cloud. In this case, that would be less than CHF 1.00. Only visualizations for end customers are billed. The cost for this is CHF 0.50 per month/license. The same applies to charging station owners who also want a visualization in order to operate their charging station optimally: CHF 0.50 per month/license. A ZEV participant can see all measured values and much more in the visualization. A charging station owner can see their charging station, the status of the vehicle, and the tariff (selectable) in the visualization. The operator of the ZEV/platform can assign the visualization to individual participants, bill the ZEV independently, and develop tariffs and products independently. Individually and dynamically customizable to suit the respective use case. |
| One-time hardware costs | CHF 120 Modem (gateway) including SIM card |
| One-time software costs | 50 / month / license Individually depending on module use |
