Data protection and IT security
| Privacy Policy Overview | The cloud solution is built in accordance with ISO 27001 and is GDPR compliant, but it is not certified. The collection, processing, and storage of personal data is carried out strictly in accordance with the privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles. Encrypted communication using TLS (HTTPS/WSS) is used for data transfer. All data transfers – clients, charging stations, and via the API – are exclusively encrypted. In addition, access is secured by an API key to prevent unauthorized access. Charging stations that are integrated locally (direct communication with WAGO) communicate via HTTP in their network. The relevant data is collected, processed, and temporarily stored locally on the control unit. From this temporary storage, the data is sent to the cloud in encrypted form. In the event of an Internet or cloud failure, the data remains on the device until communication is restored. Depending on the number of meters, the data can be temporarily stored for between 3 and 30 days. Data is stored exclusively on servers in Switzerland. The data is backed up daily and stored on a separate server to ensure reliability and data integrity. From this cloud storage, billing-relevant data can be sent to various billing service providers (e.g., zevvy, Imovatec, etc.). |

Costs
These are rough estimates. An offer must be requested for exact cost information.
The following use case was assumed for the cost estimate:
1 single-party building with the following existing components (excluding commercial use):
- Metering units: 1 electricity meter
- 1 photovoltaic system (with 1 inverter) with battery storage
- 1 heat pump (SG-Ready)
- 1 hot water boiler (relay control)
- 1 fully equipped charging station (AC charging)
These are rough estimates. An offer must be requested for exact cost information.
The following use case was assumed for the cost estimate:
1 multi-unit building with the following existing components (excluding commercial premises):
- Metering units: 20 electricity meters
- 1 photovoltaic system (with 1 inverter) with battery storage
- 1 heat pump (SG-Ready)
- 1 hot water boiler (relay control)
- 20 parking spaces, 5 of which are fully equipped with charging stations (AC charging)

| Comment | Ideal for ENERGYControl: Dynamic load management with solar-optimized charging possible (all charging stations can have the same priority). Control energy (system service SDL) can be integrated. Own consumption optimization of heat pumps with AI based on weather forecasts (blocking the heat pump when solar power production is low). Emergency operation of the hot water tank (boiler) using a heating element in the event of a heat pump malfunction (residents do not have to take cold showers even if the heat pump has failed). Alarm system and lighting control for common areas can be integrated. |
| One-time hardware costs | CHF 3,420 ENERGYControl “Standard” version including internet connection via mobile antenna. Balance measurement possible via WhatWatt Go (no meter installation necessary) |
| One-time software costs | CHF 9,820 Complete project, software, commissioning, documentation |
| Total of one-time costs | CHF 14,640 |
| Installation cost | CHF 1,400 - Installation of controller in Tableau, including 24 VDC power supply - Connection to network (no cabling to heat pump, heating insert, or other devices) |
| Project management costs | CHF 2,300 Including training on the system (hourly rate CHF 140.00) |
| Annual costs | CHF 432 System CHF 204 Internet connection via 4G CHF 192 App fees between CHF 24 and CHF 36, depending on the range of functions The system can also be rented instead of purchased. |
| Deviation/discounts for portfolio with 100 buildings (per building) | Hardware + software approx. CHF 860,000 (excluding installation) Project management approx. CHF 160,000 Discount on hardware and services up to 30% Discount on ENERGYControl licenses up to 50% In a cloud application, all buildings can be viewed in an overview (map or tables) and detailed queries and central alarm management are possible. |
